What you get on every shift

Roles and areas

Waiters, baristas, bartenders, chefs, cashiers, cleaners, security and receptionists.

Venues are joining in Westlands, the CBD and Kilimani first.

Payouts

M-Pesa payouts switch on with Klokd payments. Until then your pay is worked out and tracked in the app, and settled directly with the venue as our Terms explain.

Questions

Is Klokd free for workers?

Yes. Klokd charges the venue a fee on top of the shift pay. Nothing is taken from your pay for Klokd; only the statutory deductions the law requires.

What do I need to sign up?

You need to be 18 or older, a Kenyan mobile number and your National ID for the one-time check.

Does Klokd track my location?

Only at two moments: when you tap “I’ve arrived” and when you clock out. Klokd keeps an approximate area, not your exact position, and never tracks you in between.

What if I have no signal at the venue?

Your check-in is saved on your phone with the time you tapped and sent when you are back online. The start PIN needs signal, or the manager can start the shift from their app.

Verified shifts. Clear pay.
